The King of POP

I turned the radio on this morning as usual, and heard that the Michael Jackson just passed away. I ran for the television and watched CNN and TMZ to confirm it. The King of Pop was declared dead at UCLA Medical Center. It was believed that he died of cardiac arrest, but it is not yet confirmed until results of the autopsy are known.

Some say that he was taking prescription drugs that may have had something to do with his untimely death. The press has not confirmed this. However, investigations will be done. He died at the age of 50.

Obviously, a lot of people were surprised by this sudden news. Fans, who have supported Michael throughout his career, have gathered to the said hospital and sang some of the celebrity's memorable hits.

As for the music industry, this is probably one, if not, the most disastrous thing that has ever happened. Not only that they lost the best performer they have, they also lost a "king".

Michael Jackson influenced musicians, dancers and the like with his heart pumping beats, the water-like dance movements and his heart-breaking love songs. Probably his big hits "She's out of my life" and "Man in the mirror" are the songs I won't forget in my lifetime.

Despite having numerous scandals and issues he faced, he stood his ground and made huge comebacks that dispersed those negative things and brought fans back to the "dance floor".

According to CNN, Michael said on his last interview, that "he just wanted to be immortal. He wanted to live forever, not physically, but through his music". It's a sad and joyous thing, because you'll never see him again dancing or making brand new tracks, but it's good to know that even though he left, his art will continue it's mission to inspire musical artists and of course, touch our hearts.

May the King of Pop rest in peace. May you live the second life with the love from your fans.

Here's a song from Michael. Enjoy.

Do you love it fast?

I love high speed cars. In fact, a lot of us do. But after you've watched this, I do hope that you would realize that the streets is not our playground. This is just terrible.

Drive safely everyone!

When I become a dad/mom.. what?

As a child, I grew up with sooo much "house rules". Some of which is "no t.v during dinner!", "go to bed at 9", "no playing of computers on weekdays", you can't go to a party alone!" <-- Yes. `Til I turned 14! Imagine having your grandpa waiting outside the house of your friend, which happens to be your crush.. hehe. Love you grandpa. :D

I surpassed my teenage days, and I can say that I've done what's needed to be done, even those things that would freak my folks out. (don't tell my mom.)

Well anyway, I've asked several friends of mine about this kind of topic. About, what kind of parents would they be? Will they be as strict or not? At what point?

So here's the top ten things they would propose as "rules":

1. No suitors, gf/bf until they finish high school.

2. No secrets should be hidden. It would be lovely to have open conversations once in a while.

3. Smoking and drinking is allowed. So long as they use their own money. But if it has to come from our wallets, a big NO!

4. "Barkadas"/peers should be introduced so it will be a lot easier for us to trust his/her friends.

5. Bad words are a big NO NO!

6. Hear mass every sunday. That day is considered as "family day". It's very important!

7. If they think they can decide own their own, then do it. But if a mistake is committed, they should at least learn instead of pointing fingers.

8. If they want something, gadgets or anything, they should earn it.

9. Fighting is definitely prohibited. So long as they don't start the fight, we'll back `em up and join the riot!

10. Respect is the 1st thing that should be practiced at home. Every day, every hour, every minute, every second.

As one of my friends would put it, "I want my child to grow as an independent individual, learn from how we've brought them up especially the values that they can pass on to the next generation that reflects what kind of parents we had been to them."

So, what would you do?

Children see, children do

I'm back again with my commercial addictions. Hehe.

This is probably the most disturbing thing. Although we do see this happen everyday, we can't do a thing about it.
I have a baby sister, and she really do imitate everything I do. From changing the t.v channels,
from combing my hair, even the way our father snores!

Imagine if she saw someone cursing the world for no reason, you can bet your life on it, she will try to imitate it.
Kids do these things, because they see adults do it and they think it's right.
And then, when these kids grow up like their ill-mannered parents,
they point their finger at their kid's friends.
Yeah, like, LOL.

Hate lizards? Don't!

The Commercial freak is back!

I must admit, this is one sad, yet funny commercial.

Two loving zards, and a bunch of folks. There's a love story in between, but can't help but laugh at the end. Check it out. :D

Formatting your drive?

Alright. Before anything else, make sure you have these things prepared before the setup:

*windows xp/vista cd and it's cd key.
*your video and sound drivers. (it's the cd that came in with your motherboard.)
*USB drive or a blank cd for backing up important files before format.
*iced tea. The setup's gonna take quite a while so... you might get thirsty.

Aryt. Now that you've got everything you need, start backing up them files.

~When that's done, insert you windows xp/vista cd and restart your system.
~Wait for the "press any key" sign, and well, press any key. LOL
~Wait until the loading process is done and follow the instructions.

*You will be asked if you want to setup windows xp. Just press enter.
*Press F8 (agree) to move on.
*Choose the drive you want to format and press D to delete partition.
*A confirmation will appear, just press L.
*After that, you'll see an "unpartitioned space" and it's details. You have to create a partition if you plan on having dual drives. (Note: you can choose to install windows on a single drive using the whole hard disk space. But having two drives is more convenient.)
*If you want to install windows using the whole HD space, just press ENTER.
*From there, you will be asked if what kind of format you'd like to process. Choose "NTFS" only. Not the QUICK one. (Note: it's much slower, but it's much safer.)
*It will then start to format the drive and install the necessary files. When it's done, it will restart on it's own. The "press any key" sign will appear again. Don't do anything. Just let it boot on it's own.
*Wait until the Windows Xp logo comes up.
*You will be then instructed by the cd. Things will get easier from there. All you have to do is click next and next.. until it's done with the installation.
*Congratulations! You have just completed installing a fresh copy of windows.

INSTALLING THE DRIVERS.

Don't expect to have a fast frame rate and hear sounds after the windows setup.

Now you have to insert the Video and sound driver cds. Let it run on it's own. But if it doesn't have an Auto-Run, you could just open it manually. Open the Cd folders and double click SETUP.EXE. Instructions will be given from the setup window of your driver's cd.

After installing both drivers, restart your system and that's it!
I'm sorry I couldn't post pictures for this one. But I've got a video tutorial on YT. For more infos, send me an e-mail at: sleepy_me7@yahoo.com.ph
